1. We are a marketplace, not the seller

Unless a listing expressly names [Operator legal entity name] as the seller, every product, prepared meal and restaurant dish is offered, prepared, packed, labelled and shipped by an independent seller. We do not take possession of, inspect, taste, test or certify goods. Information in listings, including descriptions, photos, ingredients, allergens, weights, origins, dates, prices and delivery estimates, is provided by sellers. We require sellers to be accurate and we screen for prohibited items, but we cannot and do not guarantee that any listing is accurate, complete or lawful in your country.

2. Food safety and allergens

• Allergen information may be incomplete or follow a different country's rules. Products from home kitchens and small producers commonly contain traces of peanuts, tree nuts, gluten, milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, soy, sesame, mustard, celery, lupin and sulphites. If you have an allergy or intolerance, contact the seller before ordering and do not rely on the listing alone.
• Halal, kosher, vegan, vegetarian, organic, gluten-free and similar statements are the seller's claims. Ask for the certificate if it matters to you.
• Perishable food is affected by transit time, weather and handling after delivery. Inspect food on arrival, follow storage instructions, and do not eat anything that looks, smells or tastes wrong. Report problems within 48 hours under the Refund Policy.
• Nothing on the site is medical, nutritional, dietary or health advice. Traditional herbs, teas, bitters and “wellness” foods are sold as foods only; consult a qualified professional before using any product for a health purpose, during pregnancy or breastfeeding, for infants, or alongside medication.
• The ✓ verified badge shows that a store's content passed our compliance screening. It is not a hygiene rating, inspection result or product endorsement.

3. Import, customs and legality in your country

Food laws differ. An item that is ordinary in Lagos, Accra, Nairobi or Addis Ababa may be restricted in the country where you live, especially meat, dairy, eggs, honey, fresh produce, seeds, bushmeat and products of protected species. We do not verify that a listing may lawfully be imported to your address; that is your responsibility as the importer. Items seized because they are prohibited at the destination are not refundable.

4. AI-assisted features

• Search results, “AI suggestions”, meal-idea baskets, recommendations, generated store taglines, generated listing text, pricing suggestions and initial compliance screening are produced by automated systems, including rule-based heuristics and, where enabled, a third-party large language model (currently Anthropic's Claude).
• These outputs can be wrong, incomplete, outdated, culturally imprecise or biased. They do not verify safety, allergens, legality, availability, price or quality, and they are not advice of any kind. Sellers must review generated text before publishing it and are responsible for it.
• Automated compliance screening is a first filter only. It may miss problems and it may flag innocent stores; flagged stores are reviewed by people, and no store or account is removed by an automated decision alone.
• Where a third-party model is unavailable, the site falls back to simpler built-in heuristics without notice; features keep working but may be less nuanced.
• Content labelled “✨ AI” or similar is machine-generated. We do not use AI to impersonate people or to write reviews.

5. Translations and localisation

The site is available in 21 languages. English is the language in which our policies and most listings are written and only the English versions of our legal documents are binding. Interface translations marked “beta” are machine-generated drafts awaiting native-speaker review and may contain errors; some languages fall back to English for strings not yet translated. Listing content is shown in the language the seller wrote it in. If a translation and the English text differ, the English text applies.

6. Currencies and prices

Prices are set by sellers in US dollars. Amounts shown in other currencies are indicative conversions at reference rates that are updated periodically and may differ from the rate your bank or card issuer uses. You are charged in USD; your bank converts and may add fees. “Was” prices, deal labels and delivery thresholds are supplied or triggered by sellers and may change.

7. Delivery estimates and tracking

Delivery times are estimates based on the seller's location and chosen speed. Carriers, customs, weather, strikes, public holidays and events outside anyone's control can delay parcels. Tracking milestones are updated by sellers and carriers and may lag real events. Our guarantee for parcels that never arrive is in the Refund Policy.

8. Reviews, ratings and community content

Reviews, ratings, recipes and stories are the opinions and experiences of the people who posted them, not ours. We do not verify their accuracy, and a “verified purchase” label means only that the reviewer's account matches a paid order. Recipes are shared for general information; cooking results depend on ingredients, equipment and technique, and you are responsible for safe preparation.

9. Availability, errors and changes

We aim for the site to be available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may change, suspend or withdraw any feature, listing, price or content at any time. Typographical, pricing or stock errors may occur; a seller or we may cancel and refund an order affected by an obvious error. Screenshots, demo data and environments marked as test or demo do not represent real orders, sellers or prices.

10. External links and third-party services

Links to sellers' own websites, social media, carriers, Stripe, Google Fonts or other third parties are provided for convenience. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, availability, security or privacy practices, and a link is not an endorsement.

11. No professional advice

Nothing on the site constitutes legal, tax, medical, nutritional, import/export, food-safety or business advice. Sellers must obtain their own advice on licensing, labelling and tax; buyers on import rules and dietary needs.

12. Warranties and liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the site and everything on it are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, and our liability is limited as set out in sections 18 and 19 of the Terms of Use. Nothing in this Disclaimer excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be excluded under the law that applies to you, and consumers keep every non-waivable right under local law.
